Do You Design Custom Furniture or Projects?

Yes! We work with our clients to customize wood projects for your home. Past projects have included custom bourbon cabinet made from bourbon barrel, outdoor glider bench, dining tables and many more viewable on our Portfolio page or Instagram. While we do not compete on price with mass production companies (Wayfair, West Elm, etc.), we are happy to use these as inspiration to customize to your specification using much higher quality hardwoods and finishes.

Do You Do Decks or Interior Carpentry Projects?

No. Goose Woodworking, LLC specializes in furniture. We do not work on decks and are not licensed/bonded to do interior home modifications requiring carpentry or framing. We can do banquettes, some built-ins, barn doors, and other projects that can be built and finished in the Goose Woodworking, LLC woodshop and then delivered to the client site.

What Can I Expect During a Custom Project? What is the Process?

Do I Have to Pay a Security Deposit?

Yes. We require 50% of the official quote price as a down payment that also serves as a security deposit. Once materials are purchased and the design phase has begun, this payment is non-refundable. Please see the custom build process document for full details.

Do You Deliver?

Yes! We can deliver locally in the Northern Virginia area and in special cases the Maryland, Virginia, DC Metro area. Shipping outside of this region is not currently an option and only projects with delivery addresses described above will be quoted. Once quoted, the delivery address cannot be changed but can be converted to local pickup by the client.

What is the Turnaround Time?

Turnaround time is typically between 8-10 weeks but can vary depending on the size of your order and how many orders we have prior to yours. The schedule for your project is determined by the sequence ©2023 by Goose Woodworking, LLC www.goosewoodworking.com in which your down payment is received (see custom build process). Other delays may be introduced by other outside factors such as bad weather, illness, emergencies, life events, etc. – we are a small business with a single master craftsman! We always try to finish sooner if possible!

Where Are You Located?

We are located in Leesburg, VA. About 40 minutes outside of Washington, D.C. Goose Woodworking, LLC currently operates on a part time basis and any client visits to the woodshop are permitted on a scheduled appointment basis only.

How Do I Return a Piece?

All sales are FINAL. The second half of the payment due in full upon delivery or client pickup. All projects will be completed in a workmanship like manner, inspected for quality and compliance with approved design diagrams/specifications, and the highest regard for customer satisfaction. Proper care and maintenance of the completed project is the responsibility of the customer. Please see policy document for further details.
